The question of structural oppression is a discursive locus of mostly rhetorical utterances of pointing out that something constitutes structural oppression.
Yet those speech acts are typically rather ineffective although of course their quantitative iteration by means of vast number persons in the long term tends to have an accumulative discursive effect although with quite limited actual social impact. Rather is it a delicate matter to sensitively and persuasively so explain to someone that the person has expressed prejudice and/or participated in structural oppression.
What then can be done about the problem of structural oppression beyond such more or less persuasive rhetorical/corrective speech acts? First needs structural oppression generally whether economic, social or statist become fully outlawed under international/constitutional law. Second needs persons become motivated for socio-cognitive-behavioral change by provision of government-funded free Social Behavioral Training (SBT) for all.
What then is Social Behavioral Training? SBT is performed by means of role play which is video-recorded. Thereafter are the video recordings of the role play watched by SBT participants who subsequently discuss in group what could conceivably be improved in the social interaction. Role play is thereafter repeated as many times as necessary until the new behavior has become internalized, socially constructed indeed.
It needs be pointed out that SBT requires participants who are motivated for behaving differently. For example take a man who has a background of systematically approaching women in a manner which is at least perceived as “creepy” and may constitute sexual harassment. Now let us assume that this person could in principle become motivated for behavioral change by means of persuasively explaining to him that he could far more easily gain sexual to women by behaving in an ethico–aesthetically-rational manne. Provided of course that he would be interested in changing at all would it conceivably be possible to interest him in participation in feminist SBT.
Of course not everyone would be open to such change as male sexual harassers are typically successful in gaining sexual access since something like a third of Western women do appreciate and enjoy sexual harassment of various kinds and to varying degrees of course. Pointing this out is politically inconvenient yet sexual harassment continues precisely due to it being so extremely effective in gaining sexual access to that third of all Western women whom to varying degrees are turned on and aroused by such antics. It needs also but explained that rape fantasy is the most common form of sexual fantasy among Western women and a minority of Western women want their partners to rape them without prior agreement despite this certainly being illegal. Female anti-feminists tend to belong to the category of sexually experienced women who are relatively more explicit about such desires. Some such women with a a type of gender as often derogatively known as “sluts” will go to great length so as to provoke such behaviors in men by means of trying to trigger turn-on and arousal and thus provoke unrestrained socio-sexual behaviors as all human partially lose control while turned on or sexually aroused. These women too need SBT in learning to satisfy their desires in context without implying violations of law as well as in a manner that will not reproduce sexual harassment against other women in society.
In short do humans generally need SBT in the sense that we as human beings can always improve the ethics, aesthetics and efficacy of our own interpersonal conduct. Once humans persons realize that participation in fully government-funded feminist SBT will help them realize their sexual/romantic fantasies and allow them to generally pursue dreams such as entrepreneurship will participation in free SBT become increasingly attractive indeed.
SBT is essential to psychological health in that if a person is able to conduct herself in line with her own expectations of herself is she less likely to experience cognitive dissonance in this regard and will likely experience more psychological well-being. These self-expectations may or may not to varying degrees be internalized social expectations from authority figures (parents, teachers, mentors etc.) as well as from friends, colleagues, relatives, peers etc. These self-expectations may be sexual, romantic, social, professional, economic, psychological, political etc. in nature. Participation in SBT will become very attractive precisely because SBT will help human beings realize their own ethical and usually perfectionally rational and ethical expectations from life.
So called self-help methods offer varying degrees of efficacy yet these are for some reason usually not scientifically verified which is an omission by psychological science since it is very much essential to clarify what can be scientifically proven to be effective in self-help methods. What self-help methods do have in common however is the solitary performance whereby the human being in Para-Christian style seeks to “improve” herself out of duty rather than out of love of virtue.
SBT however is not a self-help method but rather seeks change through dialogic social construction. As human persons are we socially reconstructed to varying degrees by each an every encounter in which we participate in and so the purpose of SBT is not to change out of duty but rather out of pure desire. SBT is always led by a trained psychologist who will make sure that the group interaction is ethical, legal, constructive and salutogenic.
SBT thus performs desire-based transformation rather than duty-based self-correction such as heterocultural males feeling “obliged” to fulfil “hedonistic” self-expectations of e.g. promiscuous sexual conduct.
SBT needs to be performed in groups put together through psychometric mass matching and it is highly appropriate that they conclude with therapeutic ritual group sex as psychological affirmation of learned behavioral change. The therapeutic ritual group sex is intended to fortify new behaviors by means of strong emotional experience and the therapeutic ritual group sex should be fully led by the trained psychologist.
Social Behavioral Training will need to be variously repeated until it has become internalized. SBT is not intended to erase the prior behavior but is rather intended to provide the person with the possibility of a new set of social skills which the person will hopefully opt to perform.
Applied gender science will need to continually develop new ethically and functionally advanced social, sexual and psychological skills which in turn can be highly effectively internalized by means of participation in SBT. This of course is not to preclude that SBT-participants have insights and skills that are valuable but rather that the SBT therapist needs keep notes in carefully documenting interesting ideas of participants and then convey this documentation to an SBT psychological laboratory.
Social Behavioral Training needs continually be scientifically verified for efficacy, ethics and aesthetics as regards both how SBT is performed and the conduct techniques which SBT shares with participants. SBT is very much needed both as a means of undoing structural oppression and for improving human psychological well-being generally.
