Applied Historiography

It is often stated that one should learn from history but what does this mean and importantly what should it mean? We need consider in some more detail precisely what this entails and importantly what this should entail. We need furthermore perform this is in a systematic and scientific manner with a very high degree of accuracy. What does this entail in methodologies terms and what is there to hermeneutically learn from always biased and situated narratives of historiography?

What does it means to learn from history? It is often stated that history repeats itself and that is both true and untrue but it is certainly true that certainly typologies of events such as wars, revolutions, natural disasters etc. can surely be identified, i.e. if we accept the typologies as implied in those terms.

This however is no mere philosophical matter of metaphysical adjudication but rather a matter of immense public interest in terms of prevention of future historical errors. This means that historical errors need become studied systematically without fallacy. What does this mean? It means that we need deploy methodologies of HIGH ACCURACY IN PRECISION to identify HISTORICAL ERRORS much like WE deploy methodologies of HIGH ACCURACY IN PRECISION to identify FALLACIES.

Applied History is essentially the TELOS of historiography as what conceivable other purpose would education in history have than enabling the future from learning from the mistakes of the past? Scientific research is of course important in and of itself but EDUCATION OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS IS NOT A RESEARCH TASK. School education in history is however merely cheap nationalist propaganda.

Let us venture into THE MOST FAMOUS EXAMPLE. How is the SHOAH referred to? There is a number of different approaches: 1) Outlawing denial of history. 2) Claiming that the SHOAH is mystically monistic and without parallel. 3) Abusing the memory of its victims for purposes of political gain.

Let us now venture into the question of analogy. There are 1) FALSE ANALOGIES which constitute VICE, 2) WEAK ANALOGIES which constitute SIN and 3) STRONG ANALOGIES which constitute VIRTUE.

It has been argued that the Holocaust is so UNPARALLELED that it must not be compared with anything. This is the EQUIVALENT of saying that WE MUST NOT LEARN FROM HISTORY. EVERY HISTORICAL EVENT IS UNIQUE IN SOME WAY AND WE ARE NOT WELL SERVED BY PROPAGANDA FALLACIES OF ANY KIND.

The next question is scientific. How do we know that something was a mistake? This question may seem obscure but the fact is that historiography is highly selective and SITUATED BY PERSPECTIVE and so we do simply never know everything relevant to context. For example are academic historiographers still unaware AS TO PRECISELY WHY the SHOAH was perpetrated. This means that they are unaware of some of the PERTINENT FACTS OF THE MATTER SPECIFICALLY AS PERTAINING TO THE GESTAPO AS A SUPERSTITIOUS FRANKIST INTELLIGENCE SECT.

WE NEED DEPLOY PRECISION IN ACCURACY BY MEANS OF COMPARING SIMILAR SEEMING/ACTUAL HISTORICAL ERRORS. How can we learn to prevent mistakes as pertaining to natural disasters? We can, should and must comparatively study natural disasters with the purpose of means of comparative method detect and positively identify any committed error in terms of rescue operations. The same applies to studying why some revolutions fail to change regime, why some revolutions succeed to change regime, why some revolutions lead to tyranny and why some revolutions lead to emancipation and liberty. Military history is one long chain of learning from military mistakes of previous wars/operations. We may today consider it silly to stand in opposing rows in red uniforms and simultaneously shoot at each other but once was this recognized as highly advanced warfare and it was highly advanced by its time. Even military historians may however find it difficult to understand precisely understand how this was so “advanced”.

EUGENICS

THERE ARE TWO FORMS OF NATIONAL EUGENICS, POSITIVE NATIONAL EUGENICS and NEGATIVE NATIONAL EUGENICS. NEGATIVE EUGENICS IS REPRESSIVE AND PHYSIONOMISTIC AND WAS PRACTICED IN ALL WESTERN COUNTRIES AND IN SWEDEN AND NORWAY UNTIL THE 1970s. POSITIVE EUGENICS IS IN CONTRAST ABOUT THE PROMOTION OF EXCELLENCE AND HEALTH IN ACCELERATED EVOLUTION BY MEANS OF SELECTIVE PROCREATION. THE NSDAP REGIME AS ALL WESTERN COUNTRIES PRACTICED NEGATIVE EUGENICS BUT DID NOT AS HAS BEEN CLAIMED BY MEANS OF REDUCTIO AD HITLERUM BY FALLACY PRACTICE POSITIVE EUGENICS. ANOTHER ISSUE RELATES TO THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN NATIONAL EUGENICS WHICH IS RACIST AND INTERNATIONAL EUGENICS WHICH IS NOT RACIST. JUST AS NEGATIVE EUGENICS IS CLEARLY REPREHENSIBLE, AN ABOMINATION INDEED, IS NATIONAL EUGENICS CLEARLY MOST ABOMINABLE INDEED AS THIS CONSTITUTES ORGANIZED RACISM.

GENETIC IMPROVEMENT WITHOUT RACISM OR OTHER PHYSIONOMISM IS HOWEVER A MOST IMPORTANT TASK INDEED CONSIDERING THE UNDENIABLY MOST DEPLORABLE STATE OF HUMANITY. JUST AS THERE ARE UNETHICAL FORMS OF SEXUALITY ARE THERE UNETHICAL FORMS OF EUGENICS. SHOULD WE PROSCRIBE SEXUAL ACTIVITY BECAUSE OF THE EXISTENCE OF SEXUAL ABUSE? SIMILARLY MUST WE EXAMINE WHAT WE CAN LEARN FROM HISTORY IN PREVENTING PERPETRATION OF PHYSIONOMISM GENERALLY WHETHER IN THE NAME OF EUGENICS OR IN ANY OTHER GOOD AND WORTHY NAME. EUGENICS MEANS GOOD BIRTH.

EUTHANASIA

THE SAME FORGERS OF HISTORY OF HISTORY WHO CLAIM THAT THE NAZIS WERE SEMI-VEGANS WITH ORGANIZED HUMAN BREEDING PROGRAMS FOR THE PROMOTION OF HUMAN VIRTUE WILL ALSO CLAIM THAT THE NSDAP REGIME PRACTICED EUTHANASIA. EUTHANASIA MEANS ENDING LIFE TO PREVENT SUFFERING. THE NSDAP REGIME NEVER PRACTICED KILLING TO PREVENT SUFFERING BUT RATHER KILLED TO SAVE MONEY (MOSTLY HOSPITAL BEDS) AND FOR OBSCURE PSEUDO-RELIGIOUS PURPOSES. THE NSDAP RATHER MADE IT A POINT OF KILLING IN WAYS THAT CAUSEd AS MUCH SUFFERING AS POSSIBLE.
